There are a lot of guys in that top 10 player conversation, but is it finally time to include Jimmy Butler? I think it is, and no I'm not just a biased Heat fan (or am I?). -
Jimmy's scoring and efficiency has picked up greatly from a slow start, but even in that slow start he had a tremendous impact in every other area of the game. Jimmy can defend at a high level, pass the ball (6.8 ast to 2.6 to), and is an elite closer. Jimmy this season has been a great overall playmaker and actually looks to get his teammates involved first, and many people would be surprised to see that he's been almost a pass first player so far in Miami.
His overall impact on a team as the leader is incredible. Miami is now 16-6, and last season they missed the playoffs entirely. The Heat are a net negative with him off of the floor but a Net +11 with him on the court. Remember in Minnesota as well, the Wolves were a top 3 seed before Jimmy got hurt and they fell to the 8 seed without him. He's simply a guy that can everything on the floor for you. -
